@jtk @John_Livingston We embrace AI, but it is not replacing humans in critical locations. Humans write the code, as using AI has the risk of introducing non-GPL code into our code base. AI tools analyze our code for security and other problems, but we decide which advice to take seriously. Humans write the documentation, but AI makes it easier to find information in the docs.

This is a naïve point of view. You are opening the pandora's box…
Allowing such tools for critical softwares, like rsyslog, will - one day - cause some critical issues. Because a tired dev will not review correctly the AI-written code. Because the AI will hallucinate a documentation.
One day, i was searching on google the location of a specific configuration file (something very standard in UNIX/LINUX). The Google's AI-generated answer gave me a file that does not even exist.
